Eb the Undercover A&R – In the studio with K. Michelle

A lot of people don’t know that my whole purpose for moving to NYC in 2004 was to be an A&R. While in my graduate program for Music Business at NYU I learned that A&R was becoming a lost art and decided to unfollow my heart and go the digital route since that’s where the industry was going. In this video diary I talk about that and how much I miss dearly being in the studio and being apart of the creative process involved with making an album. Thanks so much to K. Michelle for allowing me in her studio sessions this past weekend. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night were beyond a pleasure and even though I’ve been extremely discouraged by the snakes in this business throughout 2010 and was concocted a plan to completely abandon it, that time in the studio reminded me why I’m in this industry and why I love it so much.
