#TwitteReview : Keri Hilson “No Boys Allowed”

Everyone loves to hate Keri Hilson. I am not one of those people. I don’t like how she came on the scene beefing with everyone trying to prove the point that she was hotter because she had written a lot of hits for some of our favorite artists, but I did like her debut album. I also didn’t see anything wrong with her “The Way You Love Me” video that had the internet in a frenzy a couple weeks ago so I’m not coming into this review with the hatred that others might.

Although I did finish this album sympathizing with how hard it must be to be a singer/songwriter that doesn’t know how to give up a hit because you have a project that you are working on. This came about because she has a couple songs that sound like she is trying to sound like Rihanna and 1 song that is more than evident it was written for Beyonce. It must be extremely hard to know a song is a hit but can’t conceptualize that it isn’t a hit for you and that you should given the song to someone else. That’s what she battled with throughout No Boys Allowed.

My favorite tracks are: Pretty Girl Rock, One Night Stand, Lose Control, Toy Soldier, Breaking Point, Beautiful Mistake, All The Boys, and Hustler. If Eb likes 8 out of 16 tracks you did pretty good for yourself.

Here is my full #TwitteReview of the Deluxe Edition of the album. Remember to read from bottom to top to get the essence of how they were tweeted.

No Boys Allowed is in stores now!
