Eb previews Jagged Edge “The Remedy”

Y’all are not understanding how 18 year old Eb was screaming inside. I used to love Jagged Edge back in the day. Loooooooooooooove them. Just look at this t-shirt that I wore to their concert the summer of 2000 when they were on tour with Mary J. Blige. A concert in which I went to twice, in Rochester, NY and Charlotte, NC in hopes I would meet them. And in Charlotte and did and Kyle aka Quick signed my shirt.

I thought I was gonna die. Yeah that’s my one and only groupie story. And yes in my heart I thought Kyle and I would be married by now LOL.

Either way one of my favorite groups is back with their 7th studio album The Remedy that will be in stores June 21st and I got a chance to preview it yesterday. I’m loving the single “Baby.” You can’t deny the Surface “Happy” sample. The group vowed to bring ‘love’ back in music and they definitely have some nice ballads like “She flows through my veins.” The album is definitely full of classic JE. They won’t ever top what JE Heartbreak was to me but there are definitely some joints that will be a great addition to my Jagged Edge playlist.

They gave an impromptu a cappella of the joint that introduced them to the world to let everyone in the room know they can still blow. Check out “Gotta Be.”
