About

THE INTRODUCTION

Renaissance Black Woman, Lil’ Miss Mocha Mischief, and Eb the Celeb is what people have called me in the past and this site launced in January 2010 to build my brand as Eb the Celeb.

I was given the name Eb the Celeb by a colleague in 2006 when I was able to get an interview with an athlete that no one else could get while working for Mobile ESPN. Absolutely hated the name at first (isn’t it corny) but that didn’t stop it from catching on with everyone in my group who continued to call me by it so I eventually embraced it.

THE EXPERIENCE

I‘m super silly but don’t get it twisted, the kid is pretty smart too. I have a Masters in Music Business from New York University. Undergrad I’m an Aggie til I die graduating Magna Cum Laude from North Carolina A&T State University with a degree in Broadcast Production and a Certification in Entrepreneurship. I’ve worked in urban radio (biggups to my 102 Jamz fam in Greensboro, NC) I’ve worked for the World Wide Leader in Sports, and a plethora of other jobs in news, reality tv, web content both as producer, writer, booker and as talent for media companies like BET, Sirius|XM, and MTV  just to name a view. I have over 10 years experience in the Entertainment Industry.

THE WARNING

K known for my no holds barred personality and telling it like it is so please don’t be sensitive. I might just be the goofiest music critic you’ll find. I like to clown and its all in good fun…but don’t think it’s a game because amidst the jokes is definitely some real talk. I know music!

I’m a R&B head til I die. Old Skool to new. I also love blues, hip hop, jazz, gospel, reggae, some pop (the good, not the cheesy), a splash of house (because anymore than that and everything starts sounding the same) and some alternative because I absolutely love Maroon 5 and Lily Allen.

“I don’t know what the key to success is, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.” -Bill Cosby

I say this because I don’t expect to change your views on entertainment, politics, music, relationships, or any other things I may touch on in this blog. I am just stating my opinion and how I feel and don’t expect you to agree with me either. I am always up for a good debate so feel free to comment whenever you feel compelled.

THE PRESENT

Working in social media and digital marketing for your favorite television networks and entertainers while trying to get back into radio and being a talent. Check out my REEL a couple tabs over. Great things are on the horizons so make sure you keep up with me on other outlets as well to stay updated.
